Elemental Magic & Legendary Heroes

Unleash the powers of lightning, fire, water, or ice at the swipe of a finger, and call upon legendary heroes to bolster your defenses.

Ridiculous Monster Variety

Confront over fifty different creatures, including Harpies, Horse Fishes, and Satyrs, each presenting its own distinct threats and abilities.

Thrilling Levels & Worlds

Traverse thirty-three stages set across four diverse realms, and put your tactical prowess to the test in Challenge Mode for an even greater thrill.

Playful Power-Ups

Turn the tide of battle with the “FIST OF GOD” or enhance your units using the “HERO’S BEEFCAKE,” introducing delightful chaos to every match.

Legendary Boss Battles

Prove your valor against towering Titans and other mythological fiends, each requiring fresh tactics for victory.

Challenges

Balancing the diverse gods’ elemental powers and special skills required implementing incremental level-ups and tiered upgrades, ensuring no single deity dominated and allowing players to tailor their strategies. Maintaining player engagement throughout 33 levels meant introducing new monsters, distinct themes, and varied challenge modes at a steady pace, continually offering fresh tactical puzzles. Finally, to keep the game running smoothly on a broad range of devices, including the iPhone 4, the team optimized art assets and code so multiple gods and visual effects could coexist without slowing gameplay or compromising the mayhem.

Technical Stack
  • Unity: Core engine for mobile-optimized tower-defense gameplay and cross-platform support.
  • C# Scripting: Implementing skill upgrades, wave logic, and tower (god) controls.
  • Photoshop / Art Tools: Creating character sprites, backgrounds, and special effects aligned with a humorous Greek myth aesthetic.
Development Status

OMG: TD! went live on iOS devices in 2013 and was enjoyed until 2017 when it was sunset as the studio focused on other titles.

Lead Producer & Game Designer
I developed a comprehensive design document that mapped out the core tower-defense mechanics, progression systems, and comedic Greek themes, while also meticulously balancing and tuning every aspect of the game’s combat. This included fine-tuning hero abilities, tower strengths, and special powers, as well as designing all in-game levels for a cohesive difficulty curve. I additionally created the monetization features—ensuring they fit seamlessly into the gameplay loop—and planned out the power-ups and tutorial systems to guide new players effectively.

UI & Production Coordination
Beyond core gameplay design, I organized the interface flow so players could easily navigate upgrades, power-ups, and level selection. This required close collaboration with both the art team—who needed clear direction on the game’s visual language—and the engineering team, who needed technical specifications to implement UI elements and ensure smooth interactions across multiple devices.

Team Leadership
From writing technical requirements to overseeing art direction and gameplay mechanics, I led cross-functional teams—engineering, art, and QA—to achieve a unified vision. Through regular milestone reviews, I upheld the client’s goals and brand integrity, managed feedback from stakeholders, and facilitated iterative testing. My involvement in QA allowed me to spot balancing issues early and work with developers to refine everything from god abilities to tutorial prompts, ultimately delivering a polished, engaging experience.

What do the players think?

"So much fun! Played with my family and we had an awesome time dancing to the music and wearing the fun bands. Awesome game!"
Garden of Aiden
"I can't remember the last time I felt so satisfied with some game's graphics. Nowadays everything looks so grim and hollow-knight-ish, or in the other hand, too much retro and 8 bit style. Your game, yet pixelated, brings a rich and well-balanced color palette to the table, with a Superbrothers Sword & Sworcery feeling. Congrats!"

"Hank Hazard is a fantastic physics puzzler. Amongst an App Store heaving with the genre, Hank Hazard stands tall, making it an unbeatable example."
